TITLE I NOTIFICATION

W.S. Holland Middle School has a schoolwide Title I program.  Title I is a federally funded program with the intent to improve the academic achievement of students who are economically disadvantaged.  The purpose of Title I Part A is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). 

Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Title I funds enable Holland Middle School to employ and train highly qualified teachers, access content specialists for mathematics and science, and sponsor parental involvement activities.  In addition, Holland uses Title I funds to supply staff and supplies for student tutorials.

NOTIFICACION DEL TITLE I

La escuela secundaria Holland tiene un programa Title I a nivel de toda la escuela.  Title I es un programa federal fundado con el intento de ayudar en el nivel academico a los estudiantes en desventaja economica.  El propósito del Title I Parte A es para asegurar que todos los niños tienen una igual y significate oportunidad de obtener una educación en un alto nivel basado en el Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) y alcanzar a un minimo, proficencia en el examen Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS).

Bajo el Acta de 2001 No Child Left Behind, Los fondos de Title I permiten que Holland Middle School emplee y entrene a maestros altamente calificados, acceso a especialistas en matematicas y ciencias y patrocinar actividades de involvimiento con padres.  Tambien Holland usa los fondos del Title I para suplir a empleados y materiales para las clases de tutorias.
